Untitled (Street Peformances) PERFORM!NOW! Chinatown 2010 (Photos: Eve Fowler, Marcus Civins)
This iteration of the Street Performance series physically traced the spatial and cultural boundaries of the PERFORM!NOW! Festival in Los Angeles’ Chinatown Arts District. I used a continuous length of orange mason line to trace my movements during a six-‐hour action in public space. By virtually and physically marking of the boundary of my climb, social and cultural boundaries are also made visible. The trajectory drawing remained over streets, up walls and between buildings and was woven spatially and chronologically between other performance events that afternoon.
