The all-cash deal will let Microsoft accelerate mobile gaming and gain access to blockbuster games like “Call of Duty” and ”Candy Crush.”
Game-maker Activision Blizzard is expanding into the TV business, as well, with a "Skylanders" series planned for 2016.
