Today I'd like to send a valentine to U.S. airline employees, from Hawai'i to Maine, and from Alaska to Florida. It's a valentine for pilots and flight attendants, airport teams, mechanics, call-center staff, managers and administrators.
Regardless of what Punxsutawney Phil has to say on the matter, spring is here. That, of course, means it's time to start planning summer vacations because simply hoping to find cheap flights and hotel rooms won't cut it.
I wonder if Captain "Sully" Sullenberger's colleagues' pensions are secure. Somehow, I doubt it.
Although airlines were the companies we used to loved to hate, airline employees are part of the family, too.
