Last week I met one of the most interesting Internet personalities ever: The Modern Nomad. He takes the art of alternative living to a new level. He has no home. What he owns fits in his backpack. Every few months he packs up and explores a new part of the world.
It's all too easy to dismiss Jorge and George as "weird" or label them "gay," but I believe we will see more and more forms of sharing lives that defy tribal notions or biblical stereotypes. In the 21st century we are finally discovering how individualistic we can be. And that's a good thing.
I try to avoid Fox News, and I'm not a fan of Bill O'Reilly, but as the mother of a self-identified gay 7-year-old son who has a crush on Glee's Blaine, the most recent media controversy involving Mr. O'Reilly caught my attention.
