Fans are freaked about season 6 episode 3, titled, "Thank You." Though my head says Glenn died my heart says otherwise for he's already proven to be a Houdini escape artist. And there's Michonne, who shines.
The season 6 premiere starkly presented how two factions face imminent peril. There's the Alexandrians, who've always been naïve at best, and negligent at worst. And Rick's group, always exigent, and ready to go downtown.
"It's not real. It can't be real," says Alicia Clark while watching a horrifying scene from the previous night shot by Los Angeles news on a smart phone. "Watch, it's the new real," says her pal, as both girls watch between high school classes awestruck.
"You really like those AMC shows don't you?" a woman asked me recently. To which I said, "Yes, I do." For AMC means it when they say story matters here. Also, it's their compelling characters who give depth to their stories. Therefore, both story and characters matter at AMC.
Yes, patience followed by hindsight are enjoyably invaluable while watching The Walking Dead, because every episode does not always have to be flat-out balls-to-the-wall action as if you are watching a Michael Bay Film. There are gems in this show.
Sasha seems to be the only one of Rick's group who hasn't accepted their new surroundings. Yet I actually believe she will later.That's what The Walking Dead show is about: character growth and continually-evolving story lines.
You have to give AMC credit for a cable network rolling out a continuing unique entertainment experience. And of its current five dramas, both The Walking Dead and Hell on Wheels had ushered in surprising changes to their storyline characters this year.
