I bet you think the mobile Internet is open. That if you write the next great mobile app there is nothing that can stop it from fulfilling its destiny. That if you create a mobile content app that blows away Netflix there is nothing that can stop it. Wrong.
Apple's app approval process is justifiably infamous; wildly finicky, infuriatingly arbitrary, impossible to decipher a coherent set of rules. And yet, a multi-billion dollar business. And yet, dozens of new apps approved every day.
I was inspired to look for a potluck organizing app because I'm going to what has turned into a potluck tonight and can't seem to get a straight answer from anybody about what to bring. Nothing was just right.
