The holiday season is officially upon us and many high school seniors are feeling anxious. The nervous tickle isn't from eager anticipation of the holidays. Most high school seniors haven't gotten into college and are feeling a combination of anticipation and angst.
We also are doing a far better job at staffing our schools with the special education personnel that can oversee the progress of these students and offer appropriate advice and support for teachers and parents.
The current college application process to competitive universities is, in two words, ferocious and atrocious. It is rife with social injustice, plagued by inefficiencies, and is simply unfair to kids and their parents.
Print media, including magazines, that complain of reduced revenues, rising costs, shrinking circulation and see-sawing advertising, have felt the pinch, but thanks to innovative approaches, countless publishers are recouping their losses and widening their reach.
