If you take a look at an aerial view map of Long Island it won't take you but a moment to figure out why the celebrated seaside resort area affectionately called "The Hamptons " (originally settled in 1640) became so popular.
"I think people need to be taught how to look at art just like they need to learn to read literature. And the best way by far to ensure that is if a person has had art classes and understands the mind-hand connection that way."
Animal shelters have been making the news lately. The foreclosure crisis has greatly increased their populations, and it's no different here on Long Island. Our local Southampton Animal Shelter was hit especially hard.
