Every day continues to be marked by small steps forward, and a willingness to continue on with the (sometimes large) steps back. But moving forward I am. I am working hard to live in alignment with my values and actions, and trying to be a mom that encourages her kids to do the same.
We met covertly, knowing that once my dress came off we wouldn't have much time to get the shot of a 6ft tall, 300 lb. woman standing butt naked in Brooklyn, New York without attracting some serious attention.
The active practice of loving myself exactly as I am is radical self love. It is loving all 311 pounds of my glorious body out loud in public. It is engaging, challenging and dismantling the story that I am lacking desirability because of the size of my body.
