We need to set an example for young girls, not drive home the idea that all women should look like Barbie. We need to adjust their image of beauty, their image of self. To make them understand that the media does not define beauty. They need to hear these things from real women.
A healthy lifestyle is exactly that, a lifestyle. It is not like a diet that lasts a few weeks, months or longer -- healthy eating is something that we should adapt to and implement in our meals every single day.
Getting to health doesn't need to be all that complicated. And it also doesn't need to be about "should." Don't pursue health because it's an obligation, or because someone says you should. Pursue health because health is a currency you can spend on living better.
Churches, businesses, schools, hospitals, all of our social institutions have the potential to be powerful positive influences on our health and connect us with the kind of support network that leads to success.
