And if anyone asks why you're doing what you're doing, and they want explanations to your newfound sense of purpose, and you don't feel like explaining or defending yourself, remember, there's only one thing to say:
Perhaps life is always giving us exactly what we need, whether we think we are ready or not. Certainly looking back 21 years, it's crystal clear. At the time I certainly didn't feel ready to be a mother, yet I was. And look at all I've learned!
Disaster, especially terrorism, notwithstanding its horrific initial impact on lives and property, takes its greatest toll, over time, by destabilizing the emotional -- and thus economic -- fabric of a community, state or nation.
Many women I work with ask me, "Tara, why haven't I achieved my vision yet? How do I live my desires?" But when an opportunity arrives for them to say yes to what they really want they stall. Instead of saying yes, they stop themselves cold.
