We are all disappointed in the health care bill, but the Democrats were trying to accomplish what a majority of Americans elected them to do. It's the Republicans who were the biggest roadblocks to what it seems a majority of Americans wanted.
"Much has been given" to those Americans at the pinnacle of wealth. So it is only fair that "much will be required" when it comes to helping pay for health insurance for those who can't otherwise afford it.
For Obama to do his job, he needs progressives to do theirs: let progressives fight on the left flank to make room for the President to steer a middle course. Otherwise the "centrists" will always win.
