The first service project I remember taking part in was a walk to raise money to fight hunger when I was around 8 years old. Although, it's very likely there were some other service activities before that one.

My primary resolution for 2015 is to be of greater service to others. While I already do a greater than average amount of service, in addition to writing and talking about it daily, I know I can do more. But, more importantly, I WANT to do more.
I'm grateful for the love and support of family and friends, who were the steadfast light. And, grateful for the new people the struggles brought into my life. Of course, I am also very thankful I had the opportunity to be of service to others.

As you are likely aware, every month of the year is designated to bring awareness to a disease, social issue or cause. And, October is no different - in fact, this month is dedicated to numerous issues, including breast cancer and bullying.
Next time you volunteer, donate money or simply conduct a random act of kindness, take to social media and share it using #GoodCitizen. Don't do this to brag about what a good citizen you are, but to inspire others to do something.
