Senator Feinstein's bill regulates all semi-automatic weapons in the hands of civilians; requires universal background checks (no exceptions); bans magazines with more than 10 rounds. But it stands a 10 percent chance of getting out of committee. Let's increase those odds.
Individual investors can vote with their feet: They can dump any gun manufacturers they own. And if this truly is the moment of truth for gun legislation, they might prove to be very bad investments too.
As we struggle to make sense of Friday's massacre, we need to begin bringing masculinity into our conversations. And we need to teach boys that being a "real man" means using your words instead of your fists ... or your knives ... or your semiautomatic rifles.
