As a business owner, I have the power to create jobs and help fuel a stalled economy. Beyond the confines of my own business, though, I also have the power to help rejuvenate all the tangential businesses that help my own company run.
A consumer movement aimed at buying American goods, or goods from balanced trade partners, could save our economy. But to do this, we need more accurate information about where things actually come from. We need a detailed country-of-origin label.
I'm not suggesting that anyone purchase an inferior product just because it was made in the U.S.A. But if it's a tossup between two products of comparable price and quality, one American and one not, buy American. Here's why.
