My dear friend David Carriere, long time book publicist and author, was intuitive enough to introduce me to a most dynamic creative pack, and one that I would quickly come to revere - and when I say revere, well, I really mean worship.
It is remarkable and commendable that Michon put her labor of love, Muffin Top, together on the smallest of budgets with the smallest of crews, and yet the film overlooks no detail. The result is a film that looks like it was made for 10 times the budget.
Muffin top is the bit of blubbery overhang on a woman's mid-riff. Even it is barely noticeable, the female mind expands it exponentially to a monster truck tire. On this natural and normal belt, sadly, self-esteem dangles in despair. Is it possible to reclaim the muffin top as something positive?
