We are all visitors here. It's time we admit it, bow in gratitude for the privilege of living on Turtle Island, and humbly ask how, together with its original inhabitants, we can care better for each other -- and for our common home.
Hopefully, our political discourse will bend to the exquisiteness of the phrase 'We the people.' Hopefully, we can quiet those who want to exploit the fears of people whose folks didn't arrive here in chains and show more respect for those whose ancestors did.
The #OscarsSoWhite hashtag is on-point. The voters dropped the ball last year when they failed to give a nomination to anyone of color in major categories. Ditto for this year, and years before this and last year.
Oscar nominations will be announced tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. ET, and we can't help but think Sage users have predicted the future once again. After watching who won Golden Globes last week, we have a pretty good idea of who will get nominated for Oscars.
