I'm honored that the Bookstore in the Grove (in Coconut Grove) has come up with a new smoothie/shake named The Grapevine, after the Coconut Grove Grapevine, which is the daily news of Coconut Grove, Florida, of which I am the editor and publisher.
Vanilla Ice is back a the Great Grove Bed Race this year. I'm sure you remember him as the star of the 2011 race. He not only was Grand Marshal, but he hung around for the whole day and he took over as announcer, calling each race. It was one of the best times.
Mustique is lush with coconut trees and I quickly discovered that the coconut is an integral part of island life. I find it endlessly inspiring because nearly every part can be used to add complexity and a spectacular tropical flavor to any dish.

Art Live Fair filled the north hall of the Coconut Grove Expo Center this past weekend and it was not like most art fairs you may have attended. While there was the traditional, static art, there were many sculptures and a lot of moving, kinetic art.
