A U.S. teen is 30 percent more likely to give birth than her counterpart in Russia, which is number two on the list. This is not a top position we can be proud of. But with continued efforts, there is every reason to believe that we will work our way to the bottom of the list.
If we work to spread that message beyond our clinics to schools, homes, and the workplace, we will be that much closer to getting chronic diseases like obesity and diabetes under control and to helping New Yorkers live fuller and healthier lives.
