The lack of conscience in the yes-men Benedict and Pope John Paul II appointed to positions of decision-making means that Catholics should not be holding their breath expecting the Holy Spirit to elect a decent leader. The church as we know it is finished and that is a blessing in itself.
I was raised Roman Catholic -- a product of Catholic school education through Grades 1-12, taught by the nuns, Sisters of Mercy. I regret that in the past I never understood their real value. I do now.
It has been a rough spring for American nuns. They've been thinking unapproved thoughts and talking out of turn, and the male hierarchy of the church is not happy. And they are doing something about it.
