Perhaps it's just me, but every year with the winter season approaching and the hunt for a pair of boots beginning, I am stuck deciding what to go for. New cuts, new lengths, new shapes and a whole lot of choice.
In the next twenty years we will see the virtual disappearance of many everyday physical items, including books (more ebooks will be sold in the US next year than paper books), paper currency and most single-use consumer electronic (does anyone even need an alarm clock anymore?).
As more and more traffic comes to news sites sideways through shared links and search results, news organizations have begun reworking their article pages to act increasingly as the beginning of a reader's journey, and not the final destination.
