Watching a Dardenne film always reminds of the anxiety and trepidation I felt before getting a tenured job. Their new film Two Days, One Night, which premiered this week at Cannes, did the same.

"I need three criteria to make a film," de France said with a full smile. "To like the character, to work with great directors, and to love the story. When Dardenne or Eastwood call you, of course you say yes."
Over 1,700 films were viewed by the selection committee this year, out of which 49 were selected for the festival, representing more than 30 countries around the world.
