The counterintuitive truth is that the attitude swelling from a frustrated, disillusioned, and at times self-confessedly uninformed public to settle our differences and compromise on a spending bill could very well be the final straw on the aching back of our dysfunctional Congress.
Republicans know that the 47 percent video was a communications disaster for them. But even though they got dramatic evidence last year of how politically damning this sort of messaging is, they can't help themselves.
Being a progressive, I am a tolerant guy, so you conservatives should feel free to party however you see fit. But I'm glad for the sake of my humanity that I am part of the progressive movement, and not the conservative one. What a sad, obsessive world modern-day conservatives live in.
