In the final debate, the two candidates focused mainly on how to manage military spending and come to Israel's aid in the event of an attack from Iran. While these are undoubtedly important issues, there was little to no mention of America's role in other international affairs.

Schieffer clearly missed an excellent opportunity to push Obama and Romney in a way that would have educated voters and revealed the candidates' thought process concerning a crucially important topic.
