Last night, Emily's sparkle-filled journey for true love -- and a new daddy for Little Ricki -- came to an "awww"-worthy end. Thanks to Chris Harrison we all know that this "emotional fin-ahh-le" is the "most anticipated television event of the summer."
If you've been following our recaps, you'll know that we weren't too keen on either of Emily's final two suitors -- Jef the teenager and Arie the slobberer -- but it seems that, in the end, Emily made the right choice for herself and Little Ricki.
I've been recapping this crazy show since 2003 and I can say with complete certainty that this has been my favorite season. For the first time in a long time, I actually ended the season with a feeling that I had been somewhat entertained each week.
Because I am always the optimist and a romantic at heart, I'd like to give these guys the benefit of the doubt -- each of them did things I have never seen before on the past seasons which showed integrity.
Unlike the hormone-fueled, bad decision-filled overnight dates of the past, this episode was light on steamy hut-tub scenes and heavy on promoting adult abstinence. (Emily's got a kid at home, people!)
