In 1968, I heard something at a conference on poverty and race in America that I continuously
reflect on and explore. At that conference, we were seeking to understand the riots that were
ripping cities apart through the '60s.
Moving into 2012, we have renewed opportunities to manifest vital aspects of our humanity. Delivering aid to the needy, helpless and downtrodden is not just the right thing to do, it's an important aspect of how we're wired.
