In "Married Sex: A Love Story," It's Not Cheating If Your Spouse Is There. (Then It Gets Complicated)

Why do couples get divorced? They cite all manner of reasons, but in the end, I believe it comes down to sex: interest withers, or someone cheats. How might a couple prevent a divorce? I thought: What if they made an agreement --- if you're tempted to cheat, bring that person home.

The Day I Defended Fifty Shades of Grey(!)

When I saw this excerpt all over Facebook recently, I had to cry foul. I knew it was fake. As bad a writer as E.L. James is, this isn't her special kind of bad. This is different. It's just a shade more grotesque. And while Christian Grey is lots of things -- none of them interesting -- he doesn't mewl. Maybe the book would have been better if he had.

Spice offers a quick, fluffy read that features interesting sex scenes and it kept me reading to the end to find out what happens next. If you're expecting this to be a great literary work or Hemingway, you will be disappointed. Just accept it for what it is, like a juicy episode of Young and the Restless, and enjoy the read.

I love erotic fiction, but I'm fed up reading about 22-year-old virgins who start f**king like porn stars immediately upon deflowerment. I'd really love to read a sizzling slice of smut featuring a protagonist I can actually relate to.
