Conferences have long been opportunities to connect, share information, develop new working relationships and uncover new ways to approach solutions to vexing problems. Before the widespread use of technology and social media, that information was limited to those in attendance. Even then, connecting with other attendees could be difficult. Anyone unable to attend the conference missed out all together!
Getting engaged is one of the most exciting moments is a person's life. The ring goes on, someone says "yes" and fingers crossed the other someone thought to hire a photographer to catch it all. Bubbly gets popped, phone calls are made, it becomes Facebook official, ring bling on Instagram, hashtags galore, and then before you can see the view from Cloud 9, "it" begins.
As a wedding planner, I tend to gravitate toward reality shows that focus on wedding planning and social events in general. I'm addicted to bridal gown shows, and love when reality stars have "events" on episodes of their show. What I don't love seeing is the planner getting destroyed for the sake of ratings.
