We have a unique opportunity to forge an interracial, interfaith, cross-class chorus of voices for economic justice. If we embody our shared imperative to pursue justice on behalf of the most vulnerable, we can help push the ball forward.

I feel a growing need to create a more independent and critical movement for social justice and change in America, and the relational and convening power in the faith community is substantial.

It does seem this Gulf ecological nightmare is now waking up evangelicals. Their revelation is not a burning bush, but a burning oil rig.
