After two weeks of standalone episodes, it was good to get back into the meat of "Supernatural's" mytharc again, and with an episode written by Ben Edlund, we knew we'd be getting a story full of wit, heart and believable character beats.
Another week, another new episode, albeit on an unusual day this week. Welcome to this week's open comment thread for "There's No I In America," the Oct. 31 episode of "30 Rock."
This show cut both Christina and Blake's teams in half, leaving them each with only five contestants heading into next week's live rounds. The decisions were not too surprising, but there were a few wildcards thrown in.
While episode 4 of "The Mindy Project" could have been been destroyed by lame pranks and office costume contests, Mindy and the rest of the gang put their own spin on October 31st with creativity, inappropriate costumes and a lot of sweating.
This week's "Once Upon a Time" certainly fit in with the rest of ABC's Halloween fare, with an abundance of lightning and shambling monsters and creepy heart stealing -- but the end result left me a little cold.
"Homeland" isn't throwing out the rulebook simply to make people freak out. It's going to the deepest, most valuable part of any story -- it's digging into the characters' souls -- for extraordinarily compelling dramatic reasons.
While "The Good Wife" was "Waiting For The Knock," I was waiting to be sufficiently entertained. Don't get me wrong, this episode had highlights, but for the most part, it was a bit lacking.
I've been waiting for politics to become a storyline, and this appears to be the episode. Don Cheadle was my MVP guest star this week, though Kellan Lutz definitely brought it too.

This week's episode wasn't quite as infuriatingly regressive as 602, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to feel much empathy for any of the characters when they're all such manipulative, selfish wastes of oxygen. (I know, welcome to the entire premise of the show.)
Whatever you want to say about "Revolution's" flaws (and this earnest show has one huge stumbling block), there's no doubt that it's successfully avoiding a number of traps and pitfalls in its quest to help NBC keep the lights on.

In this week's episode, Emily is forced to acknowledge the consequesnces of her obsession with getting even. Sure, Emily's every fiber is devoted to revenge, but at what cost?
The return of Jackie! That's right, Mrs. Florrick is out of the hospital and ready to tell voters about women throwing themselves at her son. It was a Nick-less, swishy-ness and drunk Alicia-filled episode.
Ryan Lochte! Sex idiots! Squirtle! Kenneth's hairless shins! Last night's episode was a potpourri of "Sex and the City" homages, dating archetypes and occasionally fourth-wall breaking madness.
Cinemax has carved out a nice little niche as the thinking person's action network; I don't know about you, but I'd take another season of the London-set "Hunted" over more "Boardwalk Empire" any day of the week.
