Growing up, my family never, ever loaded the car for a vacation. I realize that we could have used one on occasion. We had an onslaught of tough times before us, and a set of fond memories might have held us together a bit more.

Destinations that proclaimed to be "family friendly" may as well have had "STRAIGHT" stamped across their brochure pages. Resorts that claimed to be "gay-friendly" tended to be of the adult variety, not suitable for children. Where was the place that was both family and gay friendly?
