As a graphic artist obsessed with branding, I took one of the most recognized peices of pop art, Andy Warhol's Soup Can, and replaced the text on the can with quotes by people like Helen Keller, Confucious and Napoleon Hill.
Inspiration can come from many places. Often, it's something simple that catches your eye and your curiosity, sparking new thinking or a flash of insight. Quotes have long been a source of inspiration for this reason.
My favorite quote remains Deep Throat's "follow the money" because it not only explains Watergate. It explains everything. Except possibly love and sex, and they really shouldn't be explained. Or studied. Or worse yet, turned into a how-to book or a documentary.
