We are planning to sell the house, to leave the suburbs, to create a new life for ourselves. We talk it up but I secretly wonder if we can really do it, if we will be happy, if our lives will have the same zest, the same magic as we've known for all of these years raising our children in this house.
I remember when I stopped worrying. Lying in bed, worrying about something at work, letting it make you feel sick -- I realized that was so stupid. If you can do something about it, you do it. If you can't, you let it go. If you can't control or change something, then enjoy life -- this moment. My illness allowed me to gain this transformational perspective.
