Complaining about what happened five minutes ago or yesterday or 20 years ago also robs us of the presence of being either with ourselves or another person, in this moment. Throughout our lives no one teaches us how to be in relationships. There are no classes in school that tell us how to have healthy and happy relationships. We are often just navigating them on our own and learning as we go. Happiness is not bought with the same currency used to purchase a car. You cannot buy happiness with dollars. You may be happy with a new car, but continued happiness must come from within. But you can buy happiness with a different currency. The currency for happiness is intangible. It comes from within and it is never depleted.
