The hardest part is backing out of the driveway. It used to be the two of them waving, each year Dad a little thinner and more wobbly. And now she just stands there alone. All 95 pounds of her with the big house looming above.

We're all grieving as we encounter the final years with a parent. As a generation, we might as well lock arms; we've got a big job ahead of us, and the only way we'll make it through is with teamwork.
It's time to get over it. No one is immune from the effects of aging, whether it's in body or in mind. Not even (gulp) our parents.
