With Honey Boo Boo's popularity being milked like nobody's business, the folks over at The Soup can't help but grab a hoe and drag all things hillbilly through the mud of the pop culture pigpen. And it looks like rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd want to lend a hand.
I recently came across a colorful cartoon featuring a cluster of school children with iPhones poking a hardbound novel with a stick as if it were a mysterious relic. I immediately thought: Is it true? Are books dead?
At their core, both Fonzie and Honey Boo Boo are unapologetically true to themselves and full of heart. While they both get into mischief, neither seem to have a malicious bone in their bodies. That is the true appeal of both characters.
