Changing your mindset to being a victor of your life, sets the stage for you to regain your power. In this state, you are more likely to also stay positive in the face of challenges, experiencing less fear as the stress response is more controlled. More importantly, you are more likely to access your inner fire of motivation -- that fire that drives you to win and achieve.
It might sound surprising then to hear that ambivalence can actually be the key to supporting your own change or someone else's. You could choose to view these thoughts as "caving" or undermining your resolve. Or you could embrace these thoughts and feelings as a natural occurrence of ambivalence, completely expected in most change processes.
I just bought a brand new digital bathroom scale, so naturally I step on it every time I'm anywhere near the bathroom in order to watch my weight fluctuate. A mammoth salad for lunch? I'm up two pounds! A pleasant ramble with the Yorkie-poo? They've gone! Dinner at my sister's house? They're back! But by tomorrow morning, they'll probably be gone again. Or not.
