Saturday night, ABC premiered the first hour of what will be Lost's last season on the beach in Honolulu. I was on the red carpet and what I experienced was pure pandemonium.

In the end, this season of Lost to me is the first half of the last act. Incomplete until we go into next season. One thing we do know for sure: it's going to be another long 8 months.

Jack feels it is his destiny, much like Locke has felt for all 5 seasons of the show, to blow up "Jughead" and right all of the "wrongs" of the past 3 years for our Losties. Is this the right thing to do?

Wow. That was a rather intense episode. Last night's 100th episode of the series, titled "The Variable," played out like a classic Greek tragedy.

This "eye opening" parallel to the "Pilot" episode gave us so much information. At the same time, we also got some solid new mysteries and new characters that seem to set up the rest of the series.

The thing that made this episode -- and the season thus far -- really work is that even though there might be a certain focus on one character, there's that same feeling of a Season 1 episode.
