Huffpost Gay Voices

It really has been six months -- and an incredible six months at that. But not every reaction to Gay Voices has been positive. We've received our fair share of disgruntled emails, Tweets, comments, and Facebook posts, and I'd like to address the four topics that I've heard about the most.

I'm thrilled to begin today as Editor-at-Large of HuffPost Gay Voices. This is a pivotal, exciting time for GLBT Americans: gay lives are at the forefront of the national conversation. For someone like me, to be able to help guide that discussion is truly a great privilege.

Whenever I told anyone that I had joined The Huffington Post to edit Gay Voices, inevitably the same two questions came up: why is there a need for a page like this and how did you choose its name?
