Small is compact and constricted, always seen in comparison to big. The current global scenario demands an existence of both in equal forms. Small maybe frowned upon in terms of size, but it is the reason why big exists.
This story was recently taken up by the Guardian Express and the International Business Times, whose writers were responding to a prediction in my book Why Atheism Will Replace Religion. I want to correct some of their errors and clarify the actual claim.
Of the 26 countries that are categorized as free, only the U.S. and Japan had performed executions in 2010. This can be contrasted with the nearly 25% of countries classified as authoritarian that performed executions in 2010.
