We need to empty ourselves of our own limitation so we are ready to respond in accordance with the needs of the moment, freed from the burden of fixed beliefs.

There is no room at the level of the heart (represented by Abraham) for any clinging to self and all our intellectual edifices bar us from entering into true knowledge.

For Rumi, love was a kind of eventful flight, a journey heavenward. But we are not given the nature of the journey nor the location of the heavens.
