After being raised in the suburbs of Detroit and growing up on oldies but goodies, it made complete sense for the coolest manager in the world to ask me to go see Motown the Musical at the Pantages Theatre. If you haven't seen it yet, it's a must!
Remember that YOU are the key to inspiration. If you don't balance the "inspiring" achievements of others with some hard work to achieve your own personal goals, then that "positive" feeling you get today could ultimately end up draining you of empathy.
It is so vital to take the time once in a while to give shout outs to these lights, these beacons that have palpably made our lives and often many other lives around them better. Let them know just how pivotal they are to you, and that the world just wouldn't be the same without them.
What I find most interesting in Reykjvik is the food, music and design- you just get a sense of the freshness, creativity and energy in these areas. The country is crowded with creative talent making new and exciting things.
A new day is upon us. We had a great time at Seljalandsfoss yesterday and now we are visiting Núpur; a real Icelandic farm under the Eyjaföll mountains. When we arrived we were greeted by Berglind Hilmarsdóttir. Berglind is also my wife's name so it was great hearing that- a good start!
