Many of those who served in Iraq have moved on and started their lives anew. I am among that cohort. Despite my new beginning, I'm left with memories of that war. Those memories remind me of how lucky I am to live in America.
The war in Iraq started with Operation Shock and Awe but ended in a fizzle. Neither victory nor defeat was clear. Instead, with the last of the American troops gone, the meaning of the war is muddled, leaving in its wake more questions than answers.
