After moving to the States at a very young age from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, she became the drummer in the original lineup of the Cramps. Linna was a drummer -- a chick drummer -- and this was pre-Bangles, Go-Gos, Bikini Kill, Sleater-Kinney, White Stripes. There were no chick drummers in the 1970s. People took notice. "We made these artists sound incredible. They wanted that church sound. I always thought there was a spiritual thing we brought to the table. They were not going to get that anywhere else. We came smack dab out of the church and that's basically what we brought to a lot of artists we worked with. And they loved it."
