I had a chance to catch up with O'Brien in Henry County over Memorial Day weekend at Rooster Walk 6, where we talked about the future of bluegrass and why Americana music seems to resonate with an expanding audience.
"Once we caught on to the sounds we were making, from there on we were rolling. Pretty much everything you hear with the exception of a fiddle here or there and a couple of background voices was what we produced on the floor."
The daytime icon says, "I watched him work a couple of scenes with Eric Braeden [Victor Newman] and there were a lot of battles that went on there that were unnecessary. Eric is an old pro and does good work.
