I know that we are citizens of the greatest country in the world. It is not our resources nor our achievements, but the fundamental spirit of America; the imagination, discipline, dedication to excellence and generosity, particularly of our young people that continues to make us great.
We are indeed an exceptional country, and we should celebrate that. But patriotism also means calling our nation out for its problems and troubles. Here are my top four patriotic criticisms of Americans that I wish a politician would articulate.
What I want is something that will undoubtedly help all of those struggling families here and abroad. And I bet it's what many of you long for, too: Politicians who make decisions together for the common good of the country.
