Helen Keller's early frustration and despondence at her inability to communicate is no different than our own daily, existential anxiety. Each of us is, necessarily, subject to limitations, and, accordingly, to limited perspective.
This first month, Nisan, is an exciting, auspicious and joyful time. The word for month, Chodesh, itself means "new," and since Nisan is the beginning of a new cycle of months, it begins a new round of newness, if you will.
By blessing God 100 times daily, we are connecting in the deepest way. Mindfulness of our actions makes us more aware of the Divine. It also serves to prevail over the forces of negativity, by attaching ourselves more closely with Hashem (God).
