I don't know who was more excited to see Pixar's latest animated film, Inside Out, -- me or my kids. There are so many cool things this movie will teach you about your feelings and your memories and your brain that you can talk to your kids about after watching.
This winter has been brutal. I'm not talking about the freezing-your-buns-off, slipping-and-sliding-on-the-sidewalks, snow-up-to-your-armpits kind of brutal. I'm referring to enduring repeated school cancellations due to cold air and slippery streets.
I'm hoping to celebrate with my kids in a way that works out better than last year's epic fail. Spoiler alert: if you give sugary mocktails and noisemakers to eight toddlers, no amount of champagne will make your night turn out alright.
