Bradley has been fundraising via ALC for over a decade and each year, raising more and more. The money from the few hours each year goes to support all extracurricular activities for the school in Bradley, which is Kindergarten through eighth grade.
AIDS/LifeCycle is a combination of many people, each who have their own reason and story, equally as important as the other. This year, over $15 million dollars were raised, breaking last year's record.
I was homeless and HIV-positive. I got on a bus and headed to Los Angeles, where I met another man. I soon got introduced to crystal meth. My boyfriend became emotionally and physically abusive, and it felt as if it was all coming to a head.
What was begun by a handful of volunteers with $35 in the bank has become a life-changing, life-saving institution that is making a difference to thousands of people every week and inspiring many more around the globe.
