Nothing is better than a good book that takes me to an unexpected place. I recently picked up Lesbian Marriage: A Sex Survival Kit, and then I picked up Active Duty: Gay Military Erotic Romance and Rookies: Gay Erotic Fiction. What the books have in common is that none of them was what I expected.
On June 2, 2014, the Lambda Literary Awards celebrate their twenty-sixth anniversary. Deacon Macubbin, owner of Lambda Rising Bookstore and publisher of the Lambda Book Report, started the awards in 1989.
